Exhibition Room

Explore the many traditions and different ways the Buddha is celebrated and followed through the Buddhist Festival Month free community Expo.

Presented by the Buddhist Council of NSW, this Expo aims to increase awareness of Buddhism amongst the wider Australian community.

Your heart and mind will be engaged by quality and interesting activities and displays as well as the opportunity to speak with a vast array of practitioners.

As part of the expo, an exhibition will be held in the Ionic Room of the Sydney Masonic Centre; this will be presented as the Exhibition Room.

Take a journey and explore the life of the Buddha and the Buddha’s teachings at each stage

You will see for yourself that the Buddha’s life is an exemplar of his teachings, a timeless message in itself.

Throughout this journey you will also be exposed to the modern applications of the Buddha’s teachings to contemporary issues.

This Exhibition will also portray the spreading of Buddhism to various cultures throughout the world, which subsequently created the different traditions and schools of thought existing in the world today.

Despite the apparent differences in their emphasis, these traditions all stem from the single source: a man who walked his path and awakened from a dream - this man is Buddha, the awakened one.
